I was scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed and came across a post from a friend. I began reading. A friend of mine, who just got married back in September, found out that her young husband has cancer. They think that they caught it in time, but it’s in multiple places in his body. This young man is a marine that protects our freedom. It’s hard to swallow the fact that he is about my age and going through this at a time when he should be having the best time of his life. Not to mention my dear friend. I got to thinking. What if someone I loved dearly went in for a regular check-up and came back with this type of news? My heart just hurts.
